Zine Fair Events
The Tooting Zine Fair is totally taking over the Construction Gallery on Saturday 25th February! From 12pm -6pm the gallery will be packed out with stalls from South London zine makers as well as self publishers from farther afield. Several of the gallery spaces will be occupied for film screenings, a zine library and DIY fun, here are some more details:
Screening: Self Publishers on the World Take Over by Salford Zine Library
Sound Room (screenings hourly)
From Zine to Screen- a selection of animations which started life as zines.
Video Room (on loop)
Make a Zine: Free flowing room with lots of scrap materials and stationary to make your own zine.
Writers Room (12pm-4pm)
Mini Zine Library: Have a browse through other people’s zines and get some ideas to make your own.
Work Station
Screen Printing Demonstration with Gurley (www.thegurley.co.uk)
Writers Room (5pm-7pm)

Tooting Zine Fair -
Call for Zines, Artists books, Illustrators, Comics, Distros -
The Construction Gallery will be hosting the Tooting’s 1st Zine Fair on Saturday 25th February 2012!
Stalls are FREE but limited. To book a stall please contact tootingzines@gmail.com with the following info:
- Who are you and what do you do?
- Where are you based?
- What kind of zines would you have at your table?
- What’s your price range? Would you be up for swaps?
- If you have a web page, please share it with us.
There will be a communal stall for people with one-off zines to distribute.
Unfortunately because of limited space we might not be able to fit all the stalls in, these questions will help us make a selection.
Workshops:
Tooting Zine Fest is going to have a small selection of workshops exploring the space where zines and radical politics meet, plus at least one practical zine-based workshop.
If you’d like to run a workshop, walk or other activity, please email :
- Who are you, what do you do and where are you based?
- What is the title and general content of your workshop?
- What would your workshop involve participants doing?
- Would you be able to cover the budget of your workshop?
- Do you have any special requirements, or anything else you’d like to add?
